Exhibitions and lectures in Japan 2008-2009


Two exhibitions of new paintings and works on paper by Donald Groscost will be

presented in Kyoto, Japan. Works on corrugated aluminum and paper will be shown at Cohju Gallery. New works on canvas will be exhibited at Kyoto City International Foundation, Kyoto, Japan. Both shows open November 11, 2008 and run through December 31, 2008.


On November 26, 2008 Donald Groscost will present Mining Your Gold, at Kyoto University

of Art and Design, Kyoto, Japan 


Four new works on canvas will be shown at Cohju Gallery, Kyoto, Japan in a group show

of gallery artists opening January 10, 2009.


Publications 2008-2009


The publication Border Crossings: Painting for a New Era, by Robert C. Morgan was produced for the Kyoto exhibitions.



Exhibitions and lectures in New York 2009


Two new works on corrugated aluminum from the Feedback Series will be shown in the group exhibition Old School, at Jack The Pelican Presents, Brooklyn, NY March 27 - April 12, 2009.


Nine new works will be shown in the exhibition Viridis I at The Hewitt Gallery of Art, Marymount Manhattan College, January 15 - February 3, 2009


On April 23, 2009 Donald Groscost will present The Power of One with NYU Ph.D candidate Brendon Benz at Marymount Manhattan College.

Two new works on corrugated aluminum from the Feedback Series and one work on canvas will be shown in the exhibition It’s a Wonderful Tenth at Sideshow Gallery in Brooklyn, NY Jan. 9 -  Feb. 20, 2010. Opening reception Jan. 9, 2010 6-9pm.


An exhibition of new paintings and works on paper by Donald Groscost will be shown at Natural Wine in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, opening November 20, 2010 and running through Jan. 2011.

Donald Groscost has been invited as Visiting Artist/Guest Lecturer at California State University, Long Beach, California. He will be presenting a lecture entitled Nature and Necessity and will also be working with the graduate painting students.
